Listing rules

List a real electrical item or service, identify it accurately by make, model and rating, show every known fault and set a real price. Installation is licensed-electrician work, and safety or compliance claims need evidence, not guesswork.

Welcome here

✓ Switchboards, circuit breakers, RCDs and RCBOs, fuses, surge protection, cable, conduit, power points, switches, lighting, metering, solar and battery gear, EV chargers, motors and drives, test equipment and genuine replacement parts
✓ New and used equipment with the exact make, model, rating and known faults stated - and any second-hand protective device clearly flagged as needing testing by a licensed electrician before use
✓ Electrical services, test-and-tag and compliance work, and installers offered by people who hold every electrical licence and accreditation required for the work they advertise
✓ Electrical wholesalers, retailers and parts sellers listing genuine, correctly-rated stock
✓ Wanted ads that clearly describe the equipment or part being sought

Not allowed

✗ Stolen equipment, altered or removed serial, rating or compliance markings, counterfeit or grey-import devices that do not perform to their markings, or anything you cannot lawfully sell
✗ Recalled, electrically unsafe or illegally modified equipment, including items presented as usable when they are only for salvage or parts
✗ Cracked or arced enclosures, breakers or RCDs that will not trip or reset, scorched terminals, damaged cable insulation or other faults concealed by wording such as untested or as is
✗ Any suggestion that a buyer should install, connect or alter fixed electrical wiring themselves - installation is licensed-electrician-only work in Australia
✗ Claims that equipment or an installation is approved, tested, compliant with the wiring rules or certified without current evidence that applies to that item and work
✗ Placeholder, joke, duplicate or bait listings, and listings whose real purpose is advertising an unrelated business
✗ Weapons, controlled substances, general household goods or anything unrelated to electrical equipment or its installation, service and maintenance

Moderation

Listings go live immediately and are reviewed after publication. Reported listings are checked first. We may remove a listing, restrict an account or ask for evidence when a claim affects safety, identity, licensing or compliance. Reports are not shown to the seller.
